The Raffles Hotel Singapore was first opened in 1887. Now after a 3-year process of careful restoration & refurbishment, the Grand Dame has reopened once again. We’ve gone through a painstaking process of re-building the interiors of her suites and structural restoring her vintage architecture. It has been a deep learning experience handling such a monumental and delicate icon, building on and enhancing the legendary ambience and charm of her social spaces – the courtyards, restaurants and bars are all here and better than before, benefitting from our efforts to interweave new experiences and technology into her vintage fabric.
Today, her suites and internal spaces have been provided with energy efficient lighting and air-conditioning all precisely controlled from an in-room intelligent touch pad. Where practical, many of her common social spaces remain naturally ventilated and beautifully shaded by her iconic heritage trees and landscape.
