Tsingpu Yangzhou Retreat is not merely a place to stay, but a cultural center, showcasing the prosperity of ancient Yangzhou. Covering an area of twenty-two thousand square meters, the grounds of Tsingpu Retreat are a work of art in themselves - designed by award-winning Neri&Hu Architects, the site is already an icon near Yangzhou's famous scenic Slender West Lake. For its construction, more than 1.2 million original grey bricks were collected over the course of two years, forming a unique miniature walled city.
With more than twenty expertly-selected experiences and activities to choose, guests can participate in Tsingpu's hands-on activities; learn to make exquisite handicrafts of your own; follow local chefs to prepare delicious dishes; dress in traditional opera costumes; listen to Chinese zither music and feel the depths hidden in the ancient tones.
Beyond these programmed activities, guests may engage their creative side in Tsingpu's private art gallery, sip a cup of tea in the quaint tea room, or enjoy a leisurely walk in Tsingpu’s grounds. Staying in Tsingpu Yangzhou Retreat will be a time to breathe in authentic Chinese culture unlike anywhere else.
