Christoph Hoffmann to Receive Outstanding Contribution Award

News

AHEAD – the Awards for Hospitality Experience and Design – has announced Christoph Hoffmann, co-founder and CEO of 25hours Hotel Company, as the recipient of the AHEAD Europe 2019 Outstanding Contribution Award. Hoffmann will receive the accolade on 18 November 2019 at Battersea Evolution, London.

From an early age, German native Hoffmann visited some of Europe’s finest hotels across Switzerland and France, the moments he experienced within these hotels serving as the foundation to build a career within hospitality. After graduating secondary school, Hoffmann travelled to New York to work in the tourism sector at a Manhattan-based incentive agency. He then took up studies at the Glion Institute, and Cornell University, followed by on-property hotel experience at American Colony Hotel, Jerusalem and Box Tree Hotel, New York. From there he has held managerial positions with Kempinski, Bürgenstock Hotels and Resorts and Hotel Louis C Jacob.

Hoffmann founded 25hours Hotel Company in 2005 together with his partners, Kai Hollmann, Ardi Goldman and Stephan Gerhard. Since then he has led the group from a single property in Hamburg to a global portfolio of 13 hotels. With help from hospitality heavyweight, AccorHotels, 25hours have developments in Florence and Dubai slated for 2020 and Copenhagen in 2021.

Each year this prestigious award recognises celebrated industry figures and their contributions to the hotel industry. Previous recipients have included Petter Stordalen of Strawberry, Ian Schrager of EDITION Hotels, Barry Sternlicht of Starwood Capital, and Nick Jones of Soho House.

AHEAD Europe 2019 will take place before Sleep + Eat (19-20 November) at which Hoffman will appear on stage enlightening the audience with ‘The Tales of a Storyteller-Hotelier’.
